Project Summary
Salt Tank Room and Adjacent Areas:
We installed a 1,250 CFM rooftop exhaust fan with vibration isolation, corrosion-resistant coating, and utility set upblast exhaust. This fan handles the salt tank, general exhaust grille, and adjacent room exhaust. Four grilles, registers, and diffusers were also installed.
HVAC Systems:
A 300-ton high-efficiency air-cooled chiller with 3,000,000 BTUH input and 85% efficiency was added. The system includes steel-tubed, forced-draft heating hot water boilers, 250 GPM end-suction centrifugal chilled water pumps, and roof-mounted custom lab air handling units sized at 65,000 CFM each for the 1st Floor Lab area.
We used early Design-To-Fit and BIM coordination processes to ensure proactive planning and collaboration, minimizing impact on lab operations.
