How we exemplify our company core values

Grounded in Care

Our ‘grounded in care’ core value not only encompasses our fellow co-workers, clients, and trade partners, but it also extends out into our community. Especially during these trying times, continuing to support our community with care is extremely important. To accomplish this, WAM has embarked on a couple of new initiatives to support these people and organizations that are having such a positive impact on our community.

  • Donations to Charities – Instead of providing our clients the typical Christmas goodies this year, we decided to donate to local charities on behalf of our clients and donated $ 10,000 to Second Harvest and Alameda County Food Banks, Job Train, and the California Fire Foundation.
  • Heavy Metal Summer Experience – We are working with SMACNA and local unions on a pilot summer camp for local kids to learn how to fabricate in the sheet metal and piping trades. This pilot program will happen for the first time this summer at Western Allied’s shop and will target kids from 8th to 12th grade, giving them the introduction to our trade and potentially inspire them to a long and prosperous career in the trades.
  • Pay-It-Forward – We have committed to giving $500 dollars per month to an employee to donate to any charity of their choosing.
    • In January, Ron Engle donated to the Hayward Animal Service Bureau, in February Kevin Gomes donated to the ASPCA, and in March LeeRoy Young donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
