Team Kudos

WAM team members going above and beyond

A Residential Job, from a customer of 25+ years, it was a favor since we don’t do residential work, but he is a special guy. Here is his note:

I would like to thank you for sending your A++ team to my house to install my fantastic new air conditioner. Not only did they do a top-quality install, but they demonstrated that they really cared to do the best job possible.

As you probably know from past jobs that you have done for me, I can be difficult since I want a quality job without excuses for why it can’t be done to my standards. Your crew went overboard to do a terrific job. At one point in the job, there was an electrical box in the way of a copper pipe. They could have bent the copper around the box, but it would not have been straight. They changed the box to enable the pipe to be placed level and look like a professional did the installation.

Keep up the great work and I will be a customer for life. That is my life and not the life of the air conditioner. I would be happy to outlive the air conditioner and need to have another one installed.

A Kudos for Noel Jucaban from a customer:

Noel and I are all wrapped up. The issue was with a kinked pneumatic tube on the outside air pressure differential transducer on AC2A. This caused a pressure switch to open on AC1A when the building went into its negative air pressure state. Noel fixed the tubing, and reset the switch on AC1A, and everything is now working properly.

I want to thank everyone for their quick responses, and especially Noel for his knowledgeable troubleshooting abilities, and quick thinking. Western Allied has a tremendous asset having Noel on the team!

Aleia Kissinger and Sean Blanco, thank you for always caring to get payroll done on time and doing whatever it takes to get it done over the holiday weekend with the union rate changes in July. You both exemplify Grounded in Care.

Kudos to Ryan McOmber of service. His work has been outstanding. He integrated seamlessly into service – it seemed like he knew the job before he started.

Shout-out to Adam Fontana, Lou Gonzalez, and Cyrus Patel on Keysight! Adam served as the PM for the Keysight project, helping to guide our team on a tough central plant upgrade. The project involved installing 6000 tons of new stainless steel cooling towers, new centrifugal filtration skids, a sand filter system, and modifications to the CUP piping that was supported with all new 20’’ headers and underground plumbing utilities. Adam, Lou, and Cyrus were all key components to the project’s success, making the long drive to Santa Rosa to ensure our piping crews and our client, Swinerton, were supported throughout the duration of the project. Towards the end of the job, Adam was on-site almost daily to provide leadership and support for our field crews! He is now a master at writing project MOP’s and supporting everybody to navigate the waters with a tough end-user in Keysight. Swinerton and Keysight both were very happy with WAM’s performance and quality craftsmanship that we are known for. And we can’t forget Steve Grassi – doing what he does best; he helped to bring the project to a successful close with startup activities and overseeing our controls DDC trade partner.

Some kudos from GCI:

Thank you to the whole WAM team, including Keith Mitchel, Tom Garcia, Adam Lessler, and crews involved in the 201 3rd Street 6th & 7th-floor projects. We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication to complete the complicated retrofit projects within tight timelines. Special shout out to Ben Simon for all of the hard work & communication that went into the planning for these weekend replacements and for ensuring they were successful for our clients GCI & Kilroy. The WAM team is awesome to work with!

Kudos to Mahend Kumar for quietly running multiple very challenging projects. He exemplified “Grounded In Care”.

Kudos to Mike Aurelio and the shop crew for consistently turning out fabrication to meet the fast-paced timelines. You all exemplify “Dedicated to Teamwork”.

Kudos to them and ALL the other foremen too!

“A big thanks to everyone for making this happen!” Ron Krietemeyer – Tarlton Properties

Tarlton Properties, a 40-year client of Western Allied had an issue with a package unit serving one of their east bay tenants. Our service company ordered a replacement unit, but the unit was 6 months out. John Tarlton came to our office on a Thursday in a panic to ask for our immediate attention. With summer vacations, the few people that knew about the issue were out of the office. A team of folks jumped into action. Led by Lisa Oneto, a number of Construction PM’s looked for in-stock replacement units. We were able to find a unit and we were able to take care of the emergency replacement over that very weekend. Big thanks to Lisa Oneto for giving a shit! Also, Kudos to Venice, Steven, Suraj, Gaelan, Yindy, Randy, Cyrus, Ed Collondrez, Rob Monaghan, Daniela Ruiz, Jason Dilley, and Mark Nelson for also jumping into action!
