Description of Position
The purpose of the Financial Analyst is to develop, implement and support reliable and accurate reporting of financial accounting and job accounting. The Financial Analyst will be accountable for maintaining the financial statement creation and monthly Project Summary Report (PSR). The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and will assist in the creation of accurate and reliable reporting, not just limited to financial reporting. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with Financial Manager/Controller and Operations on rigorous budget management, project financial forecasting, and related processes.
Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 per year
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the Financial Manager
- Manage and facilitate the following on a monthly basis:
- project forecasting and analysis
- general ledger forecasting analysis
- Generate and maintain reports for key metrics, jobs, and other relevant data
- Develop and update monthly financial statements
- Ensure the weekly upkeep of the labor model
- Execute import processes to update financial, labor, and job data into the Financial Performance Platform (Prophix)
- Demonstrate expertise in the Financial Performance Platform (Prophix) and serve as a super-user
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget process and monthly forecast process
- Provide training to users for creating ad-hoc views and reports
- Regularly communicate status updates through recurring check-ins with the Finance Manager
- Contribute to the creation of future reporting and analysis modules
- Document best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reporting and business planning processes
- Undertake any other duties or tasks as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Commercial construction industry experience or audit experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of writing SQL codes is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Enthusiasm for working with people and solving problems.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook Email and Calendar.
