Western Allied Mechanical

The Lighthouse, owned, operated, and developed by Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., is a shared amenity space for a community of biotech companies in South San Francisco, with every detail designed at the forefront of sustainability. Targeting net zero energy, all energy demands of the building are generated with on-site renewable resources, powering 22,000 square feet of space that includes a café, dining space, lounge, meeting center, fitness facility, and private offices.

The final design is on track to achieve net-zero energy (NZE) certification as an all-electric facility that meets 100% of its energy needs with all onsite renewable resources. A highly efficient mechanical system, coupled with a photovoltaic array of roof-hosted solar panels, is the key element in achieving the NZE goal.

WAM project, Canada College Science and Technology Building received an "Award of Merit" in the 2020 DBIA-Western Pacific Region awards program. All though the Annual Regional Conference was cancelled, Western Allied still was able to celebrate our Canada College team's achievements.

Bob Dills received the IFMA Foundation Chairman's Award for his dedicated service as a volunteer and Trustee, creating new Global Workforce Initiative programs and developing new funding sources; for financially supporting the Foundation and raising funds through his vast network; and for providing leadership and mentorship to Foundation staff.

Western Allied Mechanical was awarded 1st Place in SMACNA’s Safety Excellence Award Program (400,001-500,000 man-hours) for their outstanding performance in occupational safety and health

Cinthya Carrillo Mendez was honored with the ASHRAE Youth Outreach Award. The award recognizes the outstanding effort of a mem­ber who actively engages a youth audience in their country, region, or local communi­ty through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities.

Western Allied was presented with the safety award for 'Most Improved Service' by the Northern California MCA for 2018

The Western Allied Mechanical team was the top fundraiser for the American Lung Association's 'Fight for Air Climb' 2018. The association recognized our efforts at the event and invited our president, Angie Simon, to share a few words about the importance of the mission to our WAM family.
