Project Summary

This project consisted of demolishing office space in an occupied neurological center and converting that space into new laboratory spaces. We installed infrastructure and final fit-out for a Thermo Fisher Cryo EM Krios microscope suite, in addition to the installation of infrastructure for 3 additional adjacent future Krios microscopes within the newly built-out suites. Constructability was extremely challenging, as we were required to get creative in how we routed exhaust and supply air from the roof through this occupied neurological center without negatively affecting the science and patient care within the building. Through teamwork and a drive to figure out the best solutions to the challenges, the team was able to fit in these Krios suites ahead of schedule.
